The main attraction here is a historical complex that houses a fifteen-century tomb (one of the oldest tombs in Malaysia) of a leading historical figure. The tomb, with its famous carved megalith, belongs to Ulama Sheikh Ahmad Makhtum, an Islamic teacher and missionary who was slain while in battle with the army of Sultan Mansor Shah of Malacca. 

Besides his grave stands the “Batu Bersurat”, several megalith stone with inscriptions depicting his struggle and victory. The most famous of these stones would be a set of three that resemble a spoon, a sword and a rudder respectively. It is said that the stones are magical and are able to grow in size.  

At another side, there is a large stone with a hole drilled through it. It is said to be a lie detector and legend has it that whoever inserts his hand in while telling a lie, will cause the stone to tighten around it. This adds a mystical element to the rich historical colours of Fort Kempas, making it one of the most interesting places to visit in Port Dickson.
