Tourism Malaysia Push to Boost Arrivals from India for 2023
With ample promotional activities in major cities in India, Tourism Malaysia is making a strong push this year to boost arrivals from India, one of Malaysia’s key markets for inbound tourists. “Indian tourists are familiar with Malaysia and it is important for us to get more of them to explore Malaysia,” said Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan. Khairul also stressed that Malaysia’s relationship with India was forged over many years and Malaysian tourism industry players are eager to develop it further in the post-pandemic tourism revival campaign. “We think two segments are very important in the Indian market. These are MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) and wedding tourism,” he added.
